Loan Officers train with our programs to assist homebuyers to qualify for more home at a below-market interest rate. House Key State Bond loans and services can help you increase your loan production serving more customers and your community.

Real Estate Professionals will learn how to assist customers in using our below-market interest rate loan programs as they search for their first home.  House Key loans and services can help you sell more homes, play an important role in the community, and serve more customers.

Nonprofit Professionals will learn how to assist potential homebuyers with downpayment assistance, bridging the affordability gap by offering below market rate House Key State Bond program.

House Key / Homebuyer Education Instructor Training

Training to originate House Key loans and/or teach Commission-sponsored homebuyer education seminars.

TRAINING SCHEDULE

If you've attended House Key Training in the past and are not certain if you need to attend again, please call Bill Conner at 206.287.4449 or bill.conner@wshfc.org before registering or if you have questions about the training. 

Due to anticipated future changes in our House Key Program, we will not be posting any additional House Key trainings until after January 1, 2012. Stay tuned for future information.

REGISTRATION FEES

Lending Professionals: $60
To originate House Key loans but not teach homebuyer education classes, attend the morning session only. To originate and teach, must attend the full day. The fee is the same, regardless.

Real Estate Professionals: $110
Includes 6 Clock Hours.   Must attend full day.

Nonprofit Professionals: $60 for first attendee
$10 for each additional attendee (up to total of five).  Must attend full day.

HomeChoice & Downpayment Assistance Program Training

In response to frequent requests, the Homeownership Division now offers a new follow-up training on downpayment assistance programs. The training incorporates the HomeChoice program plus gives a more in-depth view of all downpayment programs offered at the Commission. Information on other statewide downpayment programs will also be provided.  We require those who are attending this training to first attend House Key Training.

The trainings will only be held once a quarter and space is limited.

House Key Back Office Training

HOUSE KEY TRAINING FOR PROCESSING & CLOSING/ UNDERWRITERS

We offer quarterly Web training for your back office staff (Processors, Closers).
There is no charge for this training. Some of the topics that we cover include:

• Originate a House Key Loan
• Processing a House Key Loan
• Submitting the Pre-Closing File
• Closing a House Key Loan
• Submitting the Post-Closing File
• Delivery and Purchase of a House Key Loan

WEB-BASED TRAINING SCHEDULE
