Washington Asset
Building Coalition presents
Building Assets -- Strengthening
Communities Conference at
Yakima Convention Center. Advocates argue that without savings or
assets, families are especially vulnerable to economic crises that could
result from a fluctuating job market, an illness, or a divorce in the
family. Having savings, in contrast, can provide a buffer in tough
economic times. More importantly, savings hold the promise of breaking
the cycle of intergenerational poverty by providing access to higher
education or homeownership. This conference will explore ways to help
individuals and families improve their financial management skills,
increase their savings, and build wealth. |
