Announcing the return of In-person Homebuyer Education Classes!

Dear Homebuyer Education Instructors,

Good news!!!

Due to the recent lift of COVID-19 restrictions by the Washington State Governor's office, the Commission is pleased to announce the return of in-person Commission-sponsored homebuyer education classes.

You can now choose to offer a class in-person OR virtually. We’re excited to not only bring back in-person classes, but to continue with the flexibility of virtual classes. (Hybrid classes will not be allowed at this time).

Before registering your in-person class, each instructor needs to complete and submit the instructor attestation form along with proof of your COVID-19 vaccination. Further information and the attestation form can be found on our Instructor page, please read the instructor page and the form in its entirety. Please keep in mind COVID issues can be fluid and instructors need to follow the most restrictive mandate by the Washington State Governor's office.

Please note: If you currently have a virtual homebuyer education class scheduled with us, we will keep it listed as virtual unless you cancel your virtual class and re-register as an in-person class. Again, classes must be either an in-person class or a virtual class – hybrid classes will not be allowed at this time.

In addition to in-person and virtual Commission-sponsored classes, homebuyers still have the option of taking our approved online self-guided course via eHomeAmerica. The cost is $50 per person and each borrower must register separately and take the course individually. More information here.

All other terms and conditions to Commission sponsored homebuyer education seminars still apply and can be found in Section 6 of the Home Advantage or House Key manual.

Thank you for your partnership over the past year of unprecedented challenges!
