Online Homebuyer Education Exception Procedures
TO QUALIFY FOR THE ONLINE HOMEBUYER EDUCATION COURSE:
- The Loan Officer must first complete the Exception Request Form
#15.34 which can be found toward the bottom of the “Forms”
page and email the completed form to
ExceptionRequests@wshfc.org for approval.
- Next, the loan officer will contact the mortgage insurance
company (MGIC) to receive the password that the homebuyer will need
in order to log into MGIC’s website and take the course (see MGIC
Originator Registration Information below).
- The loan officer will direct their homebuyer to the following
Commission website to begin the online homebuyer education:
www.wshfc.org/hbe/mgic
- Upon completion of the Commission module, the homebuyer will be directed to the MGIC website at www.MGICHome.com. The homebuyer will log into the course using the lender code provided to them by the loan officer.
MGIC ORIGINATOR REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
Loan officer will access “Buyers Ed Code Originator Registration" online at: www.mgic.com/stratserv/oyohlenderregistration.html. The loan officer's email address will become their lender code.
Upon successful completion of the course, the MI company Certificate of Completion will be emailed to the loan officer. The loan officer will need to email that certificate to the Commission at ExceptionRequests@wshfc.org. The Commission will then issue a Control number that will be used for loan reservation.
