"Meeting of the Minds" Roundtable Discussions
The “Meeting of the Minds” discussions are targeted toward seasoned compliance professionals. These meetings are opportunities for compliance/management professionals to get together and learn from one another by sharing best practices and getting their questions answered about hot topics. The discussions take place in a relaxed, informal atmosphere and are facilitated by two Compliance Officers. The Compliance Division received lots of positive feedback from the first meeting in November 2007, and the participants had a lot of fun! The second “Meeting of the Minds” was held March 11, 2008 at the Housing Hope Schilaty Family Learning Center in Everett. Meeting topics included: Homeless and Transitional Special-Needs Commitments; Assets: Clarification and Verification; Real Estate Sold; and Revised Students Rule. We urge you to attend if you want the “inside scoop” and the chance to discuss current topics with your peers. The cost is FREE but you must register because the class size is limited to 25 attendees. The third “Meeting of the Minds” has been rescheduled for Wednesday, June 25 (9 am to Noon) at the Commission Training Room (28th Floor) in Seattle. The topic will be: Properties developed with financing from multiple funding agencies. We will have representatives from the State Department of Community, Trade & Economic Development, King County, and the Seattle Office of Housing in attendance to answer questions. You can submit topic-related questions for discussion when you register - REGISTER Now
