Energy Efficiency Loan Program
Washington State Housing Finance Commission and KeyBank have teamed up to bring tax-exempt financing to 501(c)(3) organizations seeking to lower their energy footprint, save money, and plan for the future. Qualifying organizations will work with an energy service company to complete an initial energy audit and learn about possible savings provided by necessary retrofits with little or no out-of-pocket expense.

THE ENERGY EFFICIENCY LOAN PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:
- To determine current energy costs and the potential savings that could be provided by certain retrofits.
- To ensure the amount of your savings will cover the cost of any retrofits.
THE ENERGY EFFICIENCY LOAN PROGRAM CAN OFFER:
- Zero Upfront Capital Costs
Upfront capital costs of the energy efficiency improvements are amortized and repaid through the energy savings. Typical finance periods are between 5 to 7 years with 10+ year options available (depending on qualifications), if the life expectancy of improvements is in excess of the loan term.
- Energy Savings Equal Positive Cash Flow
The energy savings realized from the improvements will fully repay the debt of the energy efficiency improvements and potentially provide positive cash flow to the organization based on the energy savings.
- Lower Operating Costs
The energy savings realized from the improvements will lower long term operating costs for your facility.
