Lynda
Carey is Construction Project Manager and housing development
associate of affordable housing for low-wage workers with a 21-year
career spanning the fields of structural engineering, construction
management, and asset management of commercial and multi-family
housing projects.
Lynda received a BS in Architectural Engineering from the
University of Texas at Austin and pursued post-graduate studies in
historic preservation technology at the University of Oregon and
commercial real estate at the University of Washington.
Lynda is involved in several professional and non-profit
organizations. She recently served on 4Culture’s Landmark
Rehabilitation panel to review grant applications for building
owners seeking funding for stabilization, rehabilitation, and
restoration of designated King County landmark properties. She’s an
active member of Association for Preservation Technology-Northwest
Chapter (APTNW) that is dedicated to promoting the best technology
for conserving historic structures and their settings. She also
served for six years on the Board of Directors of Rebuilding
Together Seattle, a non-profit and charitable group that repairs or
rebuilds homes at no cost to low-income homeowners, particularly
those who are elderly, disabled or families with children.
