Mike Ryherd has been the lobbyist in Olympia for the
Washington Wildlife and Recreation Coalition since 1992. In his 35 years
of lobbying at the state level, Ryherd has represented a variety of
issues and clients including conservation, municipalities, labor,
non-profits, corporations and professional trade associations. He was
the first lobbyist for the Low Income Housing Congress, one of the
founders of the State Housing Trust Fund and was presented the “Friend
Of Housing Award” by the Housing Finance Commission in 1996. Ryherd was
also a founding member, and past president, of the Bainbridge Island
Land Trust and currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Capitol
Land Trust in Olympia.
