Melanie Lilliston, MPA, Director, Technical Assistance Center and Finance, came to NCHV in May 2004 from America’s Promise–The Alliance for Youth. At NCHV, Lilliston is responsible for
managing the programs and resources the organization provides under technical assistance grants awarded by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Department of Labor-Veterans
Employment and Training Service.

As Technical Assistance Center Director, Lilliston conducts training workshops, teleconferences and individual consultations in the areas of proposal writing, federal grants management, cost
allocation and fiscal management. She also works with other national and local organizations in an effort to increase resources for homeless veteran service providers throughout the country. Her work
under the technical assistance grants has established a resource center that handles more than 18,000 requests for assistance each year.
